What spurred my recent fascination is the new Walter Aaron Clark biography <em>Los Romeros: Royal Family of the Spanish Guitar<\/em>, new from the University of Illinois Press; a fantastic book I highly recommend!<\/p>\n<p>So, let&#8217;s get this party started with a video of Pepe Romero masterfully playing two parts of one of the best-known pieces written by his father, Celedonio (1913\u20131996), <em>Suite Andalucia, <\/em>which was dedicated to Pepe (and also recorded in full by another of Celedonio&#8217;s sons, Angel).
