{"id":10751,"date":"2018-08-13T16:37:07","date_gmt":"2018-08-13T23:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/?p=10751"},"modified":"2018-08-13T16:37:57","modified_gmt":"2018-08-13T23:37:57","slug":"hauser-guitars-kazuhito-yamashita-highlight-cremona-musica-gathering-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/hauser-guitars-kazuhito-yamashita-highlight-cremona-musica-gathering-in-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Hauser Guitars, Kazuhito Yamashita Highlight Cremona Musica Gathering in September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cremonamusica.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cremona Musica<\/strong><\/a> gathering in Cremona, Italy (in the Lombardy region, about 100 kilometers southeast of Milan) from September 28\u201330 promises to be of particular interest to classical guitar fans\/aficionados.<\/p>\n<p>For starters, with the cooperation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guitarfoundation.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation<\/a>\u00a0(including Kathrin Kauser and Hermann Hauser III) and Massimo Raccosta, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cremonamusica.com\/en\/acoustic-guitar-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Acoustic Guitar Village&#8221;<\/a> portion of the sprawling music fair will include a one-of-a-kind exhibition of historic Hauser guitars and a special performance on their instruments by the fine guitarist Aliosha De Santis.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8SUNT7pOHgE\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Cremona Musica is also honoring the great Florentine composer <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mario_Castelnuovo-Tedesco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco<\/a> (1895\u20131968), who passed away 50 years ago. On September 28, guitarist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andreadieci.it\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=1&amp;Itemid=2&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrea Dieci<\/a> will hold a master class devoted to the composer&#8217;s music (as well as a separate presentation of Dieci&#8217;s latest CD, which is dedicated to Toru Takemitsu and recorded using a 1939 Hermann Hauser Sr.\u00a0 guitar). The following evening, the magnificent virtuoso Kazuhito Yamashita will lead an ensemble through Castelnuovo-Tedesco&#8217;s <em>Quintetto Op. 143<\/em>, as well as some of his <em>Caprichos de Goya Op. 195<\/em>.
