She has studied with a number of fine Italian teachers, and for the past few years had been enrolled at the Instituto Superiore di Studi Musicali &#8216;Rinaldo Franci&#8217; in Siena, in the class of Marco del Greco. Since 2010 she has won or placed in about two-dozen competitions, mostly around Italy, but also in Sweden and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>In this nicely recorded video, Dalia plays a pair of classic pieces: First up is her wonderful interpretation of one (K14) of nearly 600 Baroque keyboard sonatas penned by Domenico Scarlatti (1695\u20131757; October 26 is his 323rd birthday!); that is followed by a multi-layered work from Swiss-born Giulio Regondi (1823\u20131872), <em>Aria Variata, Op. 21 No. 1. <\/em>Her somewhat unusual-looking, but beautiful-sounding guitar is a 2015 model built by the much-admired luthier Andrea Tacchi.
