{"id":12456,"date":"2019-03-05T16:28:54","date_gmt":"2019-03-06T00:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/?p=12456"},"modified":"2019-03-06T15:39:33","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T23:39:33","slug":"guitarist-as-chamber-instrument-week-2-guitar-flute-azuline-duo-plays-maximo-diego-pujols-nubes-de-buenos-aires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/guitarist-as-chamber-instrument-week-2-guitar-flute-azuline-duo-plays-maximo-diego-pujols-nubes-de-buenos-aires\/","title":{"rendered":"Guitar-as-Chamber-Instrument Week, #2: Guitar-Flute Azuline Duo Plays M\u00e1ximo Diego Pujol&#8217;s &#8216;Nubes de Buenos Aires&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To celebrate (and amplify) the Special Focus section in the new Spring 2019 issue of\u00a0<em>Classical Guitar<\/em>, we\u2019re posting a different video of a guitarist in combination with other instruments all week!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a beautifully made, brand-new video from Canada&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azulineduo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azuline Duo<\/a>\u2014guitarist <a href=\"http:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/emma-rush-revels-in-the-music-of-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emma Rush<\/a> and flautist Sara Traficante\u2014 performing a stellar piece called <em>Nubes de Buenos Aires <\/em>(Clouds of Buenos Aires) by the outstanding and prolific contemporary Argentine composer\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maximopujol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e1ximo Diego Pujol<\/a>. This one really gives both instruments a chance to shine equally as the duo sails through the piece&#8217;s different sections.<\/p>\n<p>Rush tells us, &#8220;The video was done by Cameron Veitch at Blacklake Media in Hamilton [Ontario, where Rush is based].\u00a0 I love his stuff\u2014he works with natural light so well. The Pujol piece is published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.henry-lemoine.com\/en\/catalogue\/fiche\/27300\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Henry Lemoine\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0[U.S. link to purchase the music: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheetmusicplus.com\/title\/aires-candomberos-2-sheet-music\/4027326\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheet Music Plus<\/a>], and it&#8217;s one of two pieces in <em>Dos aires candomberos<\/em>.
