Yuri\u2019s success in the United States then began with full scholarships to study with Manuel Barrueco at the Peabody Conservatory for a GPD and Bachelor&#8217;s degree, and Benjamin Verdery at Yale University School of Music for a Master&#8217;s degree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In addition to publications in Soundboard, his expertise has also been called on to judge competitions in the United States, most notably the Beatty Music Competition for the Classical Guitar in Washington D.C. If there were anyone in the classical guitar world that could manage to combine musical elegance with architectural logic, it would be Yuri Liberzon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After a successful campaign on Indiegogo, he then released his debut album <em>Ascension<\/em> on July 17th 2015. <em>Ascension<\/em> has also been submitted to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for first-round consideration at the upcoming 58th Annual GRAMMY\u00ae Awards. Performed on a 2011 Gil Carnal guitar, it features the well-known Chaconne from J.S.
