Vieaux, who graced the cover of \u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/store.elizabethl27.sg-host.com\/products\/no-378-summer-2015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Summer 2015 <\/a>issue of <em>Classical Guitar<\/em> (you can read the interview <a href=\"http:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/grammy-winner-jason-vieaux-is-always-looking-for-new-challenges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>), brought his gorgeous-sounding Gernot Wagner guitar and played three pieces: Two movements from J.S. Bach&#8217;s <em>Lute Suite No. 1 in E Minor<\/em> BWV 996 (&#8220;Allemande&#8221; and &#8220;Gigue&#8221;), and his wonderful arrangement of a pop standard popularized by Louis Armstrong, &#8220;What a Wonderful World.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vieuax won his Grammy in 2015 in the category of Best Classical Instrumental Solo for his appealingly eclectic CD\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1VThOrR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Play<\/a><\/em>, which included pieces by everyone from Francisco T\u00e1rrega and Agust\u00edn Barrios to Ant\u00f4nio Carlos Jobim and Duke Ellington. He&#8217;s always played music from many eras\u2014he finds nothing unusual in championing both Bach and jazz guitar icon Pat Metheny in the same program. His most recent CD release is a spirited and adventurous duet album with harpist Yolanda Kondonassis called <em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1VThY2H\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Together<\/a><\/em>.
