As with the CDs, these are not reviews (some\u00a0<em>will<\/em>\u00a0be reviewed in the magazine, but frankly most will not), but we think it\u2019s important to at least get the word out about what\u2019s being offered to guitarists out there. These three lilting, short movements (each a page of music) have been recorded by guitarist Jospeh Pecoraro on his <em>Perennials<\/em> album, subtitled &#8220;American Guitar Solos,&#8221; and can be heard on YouTube:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-hT8v8Kijjw\" target=\"_blank\"> I<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lgzWzKc8muA\" target=\"_blank\">II<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2-_tlBVNgIY\" target=\"_blank\">III<\/a>. The sonata clearly stems from the Romantic period, but the &#8216;modern&#8217; harmonies and complex thematic developments play a part in transcending boundaries and ushering in a new era.
