There are plenty of videos of Bream out there, of course, but this time I was particularly captivated by a series of clips of Bream playing Spanish repertoire, in Spain, presumably excerpted from his early 1980s British TV series <em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2ktWTzN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guitarra! A Musical Journey Through Spain<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Here, he offers an exquisite version of\u00a0<em>Serenata Espa\u00f1ola<\/em>\u00a0by Catalan pianist\/composer Joaqu\u00edn Malats (1872\u20131912), originally transcribed for guitar by Francisco T\u00e1rrega. The video includes images of T\u00e1rrega, legendary guitar-maker Antonio de Torres, and more, plus some commentary from Bream (in subtitles, so it doesn&#8217;t intrude on the music).
