Not many pieces put a player&#8217;s tremolo skills to the test as much as\u00a0 Agust\u00edn Barrios&#8217; famous\u00a0<em>Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios<\/em>, played here by one of our favorite young guitarists, the Cuban virtuoso <a href=\"http:\/\/aliarango.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ali Arango<\/a>,\u00a0at the Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana in Barcelona this fall during the ongoing\u00a0Maestros de la Guitarra festival series. Arango plays an Alhambra guitar and D&#8217;Addario strings. He was the winner of the 2017 Andr\u00e9s Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition in Spain last January.<\/p>\n<p>Besides being an outstanding solo player and a fine composer, Arango also manages to find time to be part of the the highly eclectic Traza Quartet (with\u00a0<span lang=\"en\">violinist Ramses Puente, cellist\u00a0Martin Melendez, and guitarist Junior Cesar Zambrana)<\/span>\u00a0and the Pyrophorus Guitar Duo with\u00a0Josu\u00e9 Fonseca.
