{"id":9327,"date":"2018-03-07T15:10:39","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T23:10:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/?p=9327"},"modified":"2018-03-07T15:10:39","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T23:10:39","slug":"alicante-classical-guitar-program-accepting-2019-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classicalguitarmagazine.com\/alicante-classical-guitar-program-accepting-2019-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Alicante Classical Guitar Program Accepting 2019 Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Applications for the 2019 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.master-guitarra-alicante.com\/en\/home-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master in Classical Guitar Performance<\/a> program at the University of Alicante (Spain) are only being accepted through March 30, so if that&#8217;s something you or someone you know has had his\/her eye on, you better get on it!<\/p>\n<p>The highly prestigious school, which bills itself the &#8220;foremost international center for the study of the classical guitar in Spain,\u201d offers a six-month program (January to June 2019) limited to just 14 students, who enjoy focused instruction from (and recitals by) a rotating group of leading guitarists\u2014for 2018, the instructors include S\u00e9rgio and Odair Assad, David Russell, Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, Paul Galbraith, Ricardo Gall\u00e9n, and Ignacio Rodes, and more. Alicante is a beautiful, bustling, and historic port city on the Mediterranean coast of Spain; definitely a nice place to spend some time mastering the guitar!<\/p>\n<p>The applications deadline for the 2018 program is March 30. A university or equivalent degree is required of all applicants.
