It&#8217;s a quite lovely and engrossing work, written by guitarist\/composer\/teacher <a href=\"http:\/\/music.utsa.edu\/index.php\/faculty_page\/matt-dunne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew Dunne<\/a>, who has been on the faculty of the University of Texas at San Antonio (<a href=\"http:\/\/music.utsa.edu\/index.php\/areas\/guitar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UTSA<\/a>) since 1992. He&#8217;s written pieces that have been recorded and performed by the LAGQ, Bill Kanengiser solo, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Ducharme, and many others. This piece, <em>Wakulla Lullaby<\/em>, was written in 2014 for the Akerman-Teixeira Duo, but is played here by two excellent guitarists who studied at UTSA\u2014Ashley Lucero and Jeffrey Dunn, collectively known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/duointerchange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duo Interchange<\/a>. On Facebook, Lucero noted the piece &#8220;is a wonderfully crafted theme and variations based on Matthew Dunne&#8217;s memories of the <a href=\"http:\/\/wakullasprings.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wakulla Springs<\/a> in Tallahassee, Florida.&#8221; Lucero, who is currently a graduate teaching assistant at UTSA, also participated a few years ago in Dunne&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/matthewdunne.com\/keene-valley-guitarist-composer-workshop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keene Valley Guitarist\/Composer Workshop<\/a>, where she partially wrote a fine solo composition called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-BgKSBQCxYY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beede Lane<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve watched this video several times in the last few days; something about it drew me in and hooked me.
